I am new here and working on our first newsletter template. I would like to structure the background of the message (the sides) to be an image rather than a color. I see where you can choose a section background color, a content background color and turn on a background image, and I have chosen an image, which displays as I’m editing. However, when I send the campaign, it does not show up on the sides of the email. What am I doing wrong? Help please!
We discovered a deal that should’ve been created and closed in 2024. It was actually created today (3/3/25) with a closed date in 2024. It is reporting in 2025. How do I get it to report in 2024?
We use Membrain CRM, which is integrated with Active Campaign. I understand that it’s not possible to directly sync the tags on a contact between the two systems. However, I have fields that are synced in both my CRM and Active Campaign to mirror the tags we use. What I would like is some guidance on how I could update the custom tags field in the CRM so that it would automatically update a tag in Active Campaign, and vice versa—if I update a tag in Active Campaign, it should update the corresponding field in my CRM through the synced field. I assume this requires automations, but I’m unsure where to begin. for a few seconds We use Membrain CRM integrated with ActiveCampaign. Currently, I understand that there is no direct method to transfer tags from contacts into the CRM. To address this, we have set up fields in both the CRM and ActiveCampaign to mirror our tags. I am seeking guidance on establishing a process where updating the custom tags field in the CRM automatically updates the
Hi there, I sent out a webinar invitation to the global list. I´ve tagged the contact who registered + created a webinar list. Now I want to send a second invitation to the global list, excluding the ones already registered. However I can´t find the possibility to exclude certain lists or tags when creating a compaign. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks 🙂 Stephanie
Hi - I have people in my list who have unsubscribed several years ago and then want to resubscribe - or unsubscribed from one list and resubscribe to another list. We are talking three or more years ago so totally normal for people to want to resubsribe. AC won’t send these people who resubscribe - even to a different list - emails. Is there a solution to this?
I’d love any help figuring out the best way to manage a customer who owns two stores. Since both stores have different addresses, order dates, and details, but are tied to one Shopify customer record (same email but multiple addresses), I’m running into challenges with automation in ActiveCampaign. Ideally, I’d like to create deals to follow up on each store individually when a new Shopify order syncs into AC. I initially thought Accounts might be the solution, but it seems that each contact can only be assigned to one account, which doesn’t quite fit this scenario. How do other customers handle this setup? Would love to hear any best practices or alternative approaches!
I have a multi-select checkbox question on a SurveyMonkey survey and want to map its contents to the same options on a muti-select checkbox field in ActiveCampaign. Unfortunately, one of the options has an answer like “Green (Blue, Yellow)” (i.e., it has commas, and they’re inside parentheses). It appears that the commas are throwing off the ability for this to map to the field option. Since this runs through Zappier to get to AC, I’ve tried multiple variations (replacing commas with double pipes, removing quotes, removing parentheses, etc.). Still, I can’t get it to check that checkbox. (All the other checkboxes on the same field work–just not the one with commas in the answer.) Any suggestions?
Hi all, I am using the direct 1:1 email capacity of ActiveCampaign (I am on a Plus plan currently) and realise that there are basically no options to make the messages visually more appealing. Do you happen to know of any workarounds to brush up the design for these direct 1:1 messages? Any idea is greatly appreciated. Thank you and best regards, Thomas
I have a contact in automation A (this automation is for prospects, people who are interested in a product or service) If the contact buys the product, the contact will start an Automation B (this one has the email invitation and various email education). The contact should stop receiving emails from Automation A (these emails are advertising the product he’s already purchased) These could be a little annoying. Hope for your feedback.

Why is the Active Contact counts in a list different than amount mailed count of the list?
The minute option is missing from my automation’s date and time -wait action. I need an email to be sent out 15 minutes before my webinar and it only allows me hourly options. There is no minute option as there should be. Can someone help me fix this? Thank you!
We run monthly workshops. Setting up an email reminder campaign is pretty simple, and I’ve managed to do that without trouble. After each workshop, we sort participants into three groups: those who stayed the whole time, those who left early, and those who didn’t attend. We tag each person based on their status. Each group needs a different follow-up email. On top of that, several internal team members need to get copies of all participant emails, including both the pre-workshop reminders and the post-workshop follow-ups for all three groups. How can I automate this process? This is what I’ve tried but this does not work as expected.
I dropped the Sales Pipeline from my account because I didn’t think I needed it - we used tasks and I didn’t understand that those would go away as well… is there a way to find the tasks we had scheduled?
I am trying to use the API to pull down a list of Campaigns that a contact has been sent and what links inside that email they’ve clicked. Your documentation isn’t super clear so I’ve been watching the API calls made from your website when I load a contact. When I call the /activities route, I get back a huge data set that includes things like Campaigns, Messages, CampaignMessages, Links and LinkData. Can you explain the differences in these objects and how I can use them to get what a contact has been sent and clicked on? Thank you, Aaron
Hello, we have integrated our ERP to AC via API and I’m now letting my operators add notes on Accounts via the api/3/accounts/{id}/notes APICurrently every note added this way it is like has been iserted by the master account in AC. I would like to add the note in behalf of a specific AC user, is it possible? Thank you

I have been searching for hours… how do I simply sync AC contacts with Google Contacts? Many other apps allow this very easily with a few clicks of the mouse in the Integrations section. The only thing I can find here is that I must create an automation called “Create and update contacts in Google Contacts”. When I attempt to do this, I get a never-ending “loading…” message. (Still happens after refreshing page.) This seems like an awkward and cumbersome method, but perhaps this is a fantastic method and I just don’t understand it. I simply want to have AC and Google Contacts stay in sync if I update a contact in either app. Does anyone know why this seems so difficult to do? Thank you in advance.
We have a big problem, on 3 of our customers, we can not send e-mail to their prospects. We get this notification: “This email has been deactivated due to exceeding your email limit budget, please reactivate to resume sending.”, but we’ve only used 10% of the number of e-mails you can send. Please reactivate to resume sending”, but we’ve only used 10% of the number of e-mails we can send. Do you know why, and do others have the same problem? At the moment, all our campaigns are affected by this problem/bug, and we’d like to be able to resolve it as soon as possible… thank you in advance.
Hi, I’d like to know if there’s any way to trigger an automation when a user is added into a contact list with double opt-in. I tried all the options I could think of, but then in https://help.activecampaign.com/hc/en-us/articles/218788707-Automation-triggers-explained I learnt that they are not valid under double opt-in, until the email has been confirmed. I’d like to track form submissions which don’t get verified, to try recover all lost leads. Is there any way to achieve it? thanks

Hi there! I enabled botsense on 11/10, our 11/12 newsletter email had solid click rates and then every email since has been significantly lower click rates and slightly lower open rates. All the emails have been similar newsletter type emails with lots to click and YOY performance is way down. Has anyone else experienced this? We are B2C so didn’t think Botsense would have such a large impact on us. Open to thoughts/questions/ideas of what we could be missing! Thanks! Jenna
