Good afternoon, everyone! I am trying to join the ActiveCampaign Community on Slack. I don’t have an @activecampaign email address and was directed to contact the administrator of this community for an invitation. Any suggestions on how to do this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help! Yours truly, Don Purdy

I’m trying to add the ability for people to give a thumbs up (or down) or vote on options in a newsletter but I’m unsure what tools I could use. Sample: How did you like today’s content? ******** - Loved it (selectable)* ***** - Eh…it was ok* *** - Not my cup of tea* I would have some similar in each tip in my news letter with a thumbs up and down option plus the “today’s content” for the weekly newsletter. Any insight would be help.
We inadvertently sent a campaign with predictive sending turned on. (we do not use predictive sending normally) This was “sent” at 9:00am today. As of now it is very unclear as to if the campaign has successfully sent and delivered to the nearly 1300 recipients. I happen to have 3 email test addresses in the list and have not received the email to any of the 3. The report shows a status of “delivered” on all contacts - yet it does not show if you look at one of the contacts. And more oddly I am active and open my emails all day everyday so would have expected for the email to have been delivered to me by now. I would appreciate advice on what feels like not so predictive :). Only advice I got was that I had to look at each contact to know if delivered (not efficient for an automation tool) and that “this is the way it works”. Hoping the community has better advice. Thank you!

This topic has been raised for 8 years now. Not being able to use personalization tags in update contact step is a bummer. AC recently launched data formatting steps which allow to save a formatted field into another field (which is a good workaround for some purposes), but you can’t format hidden fields and that’s where most of my data lays. Have someone figured out how to make this data handling in an automated way?
I want to send my controller a monthly or quarterly deals forecast report. Has anyone figured out if there is a way to automate this process?
I just ran my first automation and I’m wondering if I set it up wrong because the numbers aren’t lining up. Email #1 sent to 3,903 | Wait 1 day | Match conditions = Open email #1 in the last 2 days | If Yes send Email #2 993 contacts opened email #1 and matched the conditions above, but only 500 contacts were sent email #2. That’s a difference of 493 contacts with no unsubscribes or bounces. Why didn’t the other 493 contacts that opened email #1 get email #2? Is it because my condition (last 2 days) needs to be longer? Additionally, 2,601 contacts went into the queue as a “no” status, and when I compare the queue contacts to the open contacts there’s a difference of 309 contacts. Where did they go? This is just one example, but I have differences like this across the whole automation. If anyone can shed some light as to why this is I would be very grateful. Thanks!
Hello - I have a list of 1,500 active International contacts that I need to exclude from getting emails, and take out of my active contact list because we’re almost at our limit. They are currently subscribed to our USA list and I thought that if I imported these contacts, selected “Import as Excluded” it would do this for me (take out of list and active contact totals), but it did not. I searched a contact in List Exclusions, and they were there. But then I searched them as a contact and they were there too - still subscribed to a list. I then tried AC Chat and was told that I can Import these contacts again, select the list they’re subscribed to, and select the “Import as an Unsubscribed Contact,” which I did. However, I searched a contact and they’re still subscribed. Any thoughts on how to go about keeping them in the system, but excluding them from emails and not active in our contact count? The only other thing I can think of is to Import them again, add a tag (International) the

Hi everyone, I’m running into an issue with lead scoring in ActiveCampaign and was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar. In my automations, I assign lead scores with an expiration time. The points are being added correctly, but they don’t seem to be expiring as they should. To test this, I created a very simple automation: A contact receives +1 point, which is set to expire after 1 hour. The automation runs fine, and the point is added as expected. The automation ran as expected, and the point was correctly added yesterday at 20:58 (UTC+2). Since the score was set to expire after one hour, it should have been removed by 21:58. However, even the next day, the contact still has the point – well past the expiration time. I expected the score to automatically decrease once the expiration period ended, but that didn’t happen. Has anyone seen this behavior or knows what could be causing it? Is there something else I need to configure to make the expiration work? Thanks in
Hi! I’m new to ActiveCampaign. I’m trying to set up Lead Scoring so that I can move contacts to MQL when they have reached a threshold. It looks like if I want to have this lead scoring run all the time, then I need to do this in Automations, not Lead Scoring. Do I have that correct? I have set up the individual Automations to create the lead score. However nothing is happening and my Contact Lead Score is not populating. What have I done wrong?
Does anyone have examples of what we should be tracking that can help with segmenting our client database?
Hi there! I’m getting an error that I’ve never gotten before when trying to import a list. The list is about 9k and I’m getting the error “Import failed for unknown reasons: There is already an active transaction” for about 2k of those contacts. I’m on the enterprise plan. Does anyone know why this may be? Thank you!

Just a bit of a rant. And I don’t know if other users are facing the same issue. Since the past 3-4 weeks, my account was not accessible due to activecampaigns billing page not being available. Couldn’t update any credit card details or nothing. All of my automations workflows, zapier zaps were stopping and sales dwindled. They gave me an external link to pay for my account. Did that and got the access back just in the past 2 days. Now when I go into my account, suddenly my plan has changed, number of users have been limited, my deals section is now a “sales bundle” that I have to subscribe to additionally. And at a huge higher cost. No intimation, no emails about these sudden plan changes, no recourse provided for the past 3 weeks of lost business. For a company that prides itself on providing clear communication to clients, this is just sad. Been an account holder since the past 9 years and this is how we’ve been treated. Wow. Time to move on I guess. ✌🏼
Instead of having to type in a custom Google Analytics Campaign Name every time, it would be great if there was a way to preload/create a list of campaign names and then have the option to be able to select the campaign name from a dropdown list (OR create a new one that automatically gets added to the list). This would help ensure consistency of use among team members.

Hi everyone, Product background: We’re a therapy platform. I’m working on an automation that will send out a reminder to users when they haven’t booked a session with a therapist for one month or more. Relevant custom field is called Appointments as Client, which tallies the number of sessions a client has had. I also know when their last appointment at was booked, this field is just called Last Appointment At. What I want is a perfectly repeatable “one-month silence” follow-up for every session ≥ 2, but I’m running into trigger limitations. Current setup We have Automation A that fires when our custom “Amount of sessions” field goes from Blank → 1, sending a welcome/reminder sequence for anyone who only ever books session #1. That sequence will keep reminding for up to a year if they never book session #2. What I need now A second automation (let’s call it Automation B) that, after session #2 (or 3, 4, etc.), waits 30 days, then sends a single “Hey, let us know if you’d like to book
I have been calling using the https://{youraccountname}.api-us1.com/api/3/campaigns call in an Azure data factory successfully for about a year and it stopped working two days ago. Now I am getting the following error message: Rest call failed with client error, status code 403 Forbidden, please check your activity settings…Response: {“message”:“Campaign IDs cannot be empty.”} I can make the same call using Postman and it works. I added an Orders by (&orders[sdate]=ASC) and I can preview the data but then the pagination doesn’t work and it gets stuck in a loop. This started happening about the same time I noticed that I was missing deals, that pagination appeared to stop working too until I added an Orders clause. Has there been an update to the API recently?
I want to create a saved response with the "You can call me at %deal_owner:phonenumber% however, the deal_owner:phonenumber doesn’t appear to exist. Is there a way to access that data? I can of course, access deal_owner:firstname, deal_owner:email etc.
Hi, This is my first time using the forum, so I apologize if this question has already been asked. I haven’t been able to find the answer. I need to segment my contacts more, and I would love it if I could create a nice looking profile page for people to update there information. I’m guessing I need to create some custom fields, but this is not something I want people to fill out as they sign up. I want to send them an automated email a couple of days later asking if they’ll help us sending them the most relevant content by adding some information (occupation, city, etc.). Is this possible? Best, Anja
