I integrated an Active Campaign form on my website. I added a custom field where people have to check a box that asks the question ‘what work do you do?’. An automation is activated when people complete en send the form. The first thing this automation does, is giving people a tag that matches the box they checked, when filling in my form. I should be able to see this tag, when clicking on a persons profile or when I segment the contact list, by using this tag. This doesn’t work. The tag also doesn’t appear when I want to segment all my contacts. There are a few other options to give people a tag, but no other way that connects to the different boxes in my custom field. What am I doing wrong?
I tested my email campaign today to see if the emails would send properly. It’s all good EXCEPT if I click the link in an email to buy my product I’m still getting the other emails after that as if I didn’t buy it yet. What should I do to make sure the emails stop sending after the product is bought?

Has anyone integrated Referral Hero platform and campaigns with Active Campaign? If yes, how did you handle running simultaneous (three) “Referral Campaigns” at the same time? When integrated with AC, Referral Hero creates new Custom Fields and then sends referree data to AC. This is all fine until a contact signs up using a different Referral Hero campaign. Then custom fields are overwritten with the new campaign information. We are also in contact with Referral Hero support as well.
The Google sheet integration was supposed to scan for newly added rows every 60 min and import contacts to the automated email drip. But new contacts added a day ago did not appear in the queue. What settings do I need to make to ensure this flow is automated? Thanks
Hi All, I’m sporadically getting 500 errors when subscribing contacts to a list. Even though the API returns a 500 error, the contact is still subscribed. Any ideas on how this can be fixed or what’s causing it? I opened a ticket with Support, but they’re not hip on helping when it can’t consistently be replicated. 2024-10-08 14:40:31,333 - INFO - Subscribe Data: {‘contactList’: {‘list’: ‘17’, ‘contact’: ‘28438’, ‘status’: 1}} 2024-10-08 14:40:31,333 - DEBUG - Starting new HTTPS connection (1): redacted.api-us1.com:443 2024-10-08 14:40:32,642 - DEBUG - https://redacted.api-us1.com:443 “POST /api/3/contactLists HTTP/1.1” 500 0 2024-10-08 14:40:32,642 - ERROR - HTTP error occurred: 500 Server Error: Internal Server Error for url: https://redacted.api-us1.com/api/3/contactLists See screenshot: 2024-10-08_14-52-07 - TechSmith Screencast - TechSmith Screencast
Message variables are a body of text that you can assign a personalization tag to for use in any campaign email (including those sent from an automation). They are similar to custom fields, but not the same: Whereas custom fields pull values from contact records, message variables pull one constant value from a single place within ActiveCampaign. There are lots of ways to use a Message Variable in your campaigns. For example, you can use a variable for an email signature or a variable for a disclaimer. There is no limit to the number of Message Variables you can create. To access Message Variables, navigate to Campaigns in the left menu then Click “Message Variables.” Then, follow these instructions below to create a Message Variable: Type the Message Variable name into the “Personalization Name” field. The Message Variable name is internal only and should be something that you recognize. For example, if you want to create a signature message variable, you can call this “Signature.”

Hi, is it possible to send the same email multiple times through automation? I can’t find the option, so for now I copy the e-mail a few times and then have it sent with a schedule on the desired date. It could be much easier with an automation but this only works via certain triggers, sending an e-mail is not one of them. Or am I missing the point?
Recently we received several emails from prospects of us that say our websites arent safe and they dont want to click on it - it seems that active campaign got on to a “not safe” list. This is a very bad situation as most customers wont get in touch with us and just close the site and will never access it. Did you also get emails like that? What can I/we do about it ?

Hello. I need your help. I want to set an automation. I have multiple pipelines. Some contacts are placed in all pipelines, some are placed in just couple of them. Every pipeline is managed by a diferent user. I created a tags one for each pipeline and these tags will be given to contact when the contacts deal status is changed to WON. I would like to set an automation that the contact will receive a specific tag that depends on in which pipeline the contact deal status in changed to WON. Example: contact deal status is changed to WON in pipeline no. 3 - this contact will receive a tag3. Example 2: contact deal status is changed to WON in pipeline no. 5 - this contact will receive a tag5. How can I do that. Thanks for your help, Iztok
Endpoint: /contacts/{contactID}/contactAutomations?limit=20&orders[lastdate]=DESC Is there a way to filter by seriesid or automation (id)? Thanks.
Hello. I need your help. I want to set an automation. I have 5 diferent pipelines. Some contacts/deals are placed in all 5 pipelines, some are placed in 4 pipelines, some contacts/deals are in 3 pipelines… Every pipeline is managed by different user. I would like to set the starting trigger of an automation when the contacts deal status changes to “LOST” in all pipelines which the contact is placed in. If the contacts deal status is WON or still OPEN in some of teh pipelines, the contact is not entering the automation. So the contact would start an automation the same moment when has the status LOST in all pipelines where the contact is placed in. How can I do that. Thanks for your help, Iztok
Not sure why this isn’t working all of sudden. Looking for help and not sure if this is worth the active campaign strategy session call. Person opts in via AC form OR fills out info leadpages, this subscribes them to a new list. new list sends an email immediately once someone subscribes and it simply isn’t delivering, not to spam, no where. Any new automation I create now simply doesn’t work. Deliverability to existing subscribers isn’t an issue. Please help!!!
Hi everyone, I’m experiencing several issues with my account, and I could really use some help! My campaigns are not being sent—they stay stuck in the draft folder no matter how many times I try to share them. I deleted enough contacts to get back under our contact limit, but my campaigns are still not going out. Now I’m blocked from deleting and importing contacts, so I can’t manage my lists properly. Has anyone experienced something similar, or does anyone know how I can resolve these issues? Thank you so much for any advice or assistance you can offer!
How can I create a segment of people who engaged with your emails in the last 30,60,90 etc. days?
Hi, I’m curious to learn what integrations/methods folks are using to embed a poll in a newsletter. I saw the ActiveCampaign article that shares they recommend a link to a form. Our intention is: -Embedding a short poll feature in our newsletter and having the data funnel easily into the contact’s profile. We prefer to try embedding it to make it as easy as possible for people to quickly engage. -We’re wondering if anyone uses an integration/application for this and has good success? Sincerely, Jennifer
New user here 👋 I’m sending out our first campaign as a test email, and I keep getting an alert saying “Attention needed(Was previously declined from sending.)” Does anyone know why it’s being declined? Or what I’m doing wrong? This campaign was only going to five people within our office.
