You can bulk update the “ActiveCampaign Sync Status” field for existing contacts and leads in Salesforce so that they sync automatically to ActiveCampaign through the ActiveCampaign Salesforce integration. This process will keep contacts and leads in sync between both platforms whenever updates are made to any mapped fields. You must complete the ActiveCampaign Salesforce integration setup to sync existing contact and lead data from Salesforce to ActiveCampaign. Log into your Salesforce account and navigate to Reports. Create a report of all contacts or leads you wish to sync into ActiveCampaign. Under “Columns” in the left menu, type “ActiveCampaign” and click “ActiveCampaign Sync Status.” This will add the ActiveCampaign Sync Status field to your report. Click the “Run” button to run the report. After the report runs, click the down caret next to the “Edit” button and click “Export.” An “Export” modal will open. Click the “Format” dropdown and click the “CSV” option. You do not need
The Salesforce “Email Opt Out” field is a checkbox field that lets you know if a contact or lead has opted into or out of your communications. If you’re using the ActiveCampaign Salesforce integration, we’ll either check or uncheck this box in Salesforce if a qualified contact* experiences any of the following events in ActiveCampaign: Subscription event: A contact subscribes to a list in ActiveCampaign If a contact goes from not having any active list subscriptions to having any number of list subscriptions, the “Email Opt Out” field in Salesforce will be unchecked after the sync runs. This means that the contact is now an active email recipient in Salesforce. Unsubscribe event: A contact unsubscribes from your list(s) in ActiveCampaign If a contact is unsubscribed from all lists they were opted into in your account, then the “Email Opt Out” field in Salesforce will be checked after the sync runs. This means that the contact is no longer an active email recipient in Salesforce.
We created ActiveCampaign Managed Package fields that a Salesforce Admin can add to the record layout for the Opportunity Object. These fields are: ActiveCampaign Sync Status ActiveCampaign Last Sync We also added Opportunities to our Sync Dashboard so you can track the outbound sync and view any errors that are found.
Once a lead is converted to a contact in Salesforce, the ActiveCampaign ID and Marketing Activities will carry over to the contact record page in Salesforce. Tags in ActiveCampaign will also update for the converted contact. This update happens when the sync updates the contact in ActiveCampaign from Salesforce. The “created-from-salesforce-contact” tag will replace the “created-from-salesforce-lead” tag and a new tag of “salesforce-lead-converted-to-contact” tag will be added.
If a lead or contact is deleted in Salesforce, the integration will not delete the contact in ActiveCampaign. If the contact or lead you deleted in Salesforce is updated/edited in ActiveCampaign, then a sync will be triggered and the contact or lead will be added back to your Saleforce account. To prevent this from happening, you will need to remove either of these tags from the contact record in ActiveCampaign: added-to-salesforce-contact added-to-salesforce-lead Once these tags are removed from the contact record in ActiveCampaign, the sync will not run.
We do not support historical syncing. Once this feature is enabled, you would need to edit an existing Opportunity record in order to sync it. If you want to make an edit, it needs to be on one of the four fields that are syncing to ActiveCampaign. As a reminder these four fields are: Name Amount Stage Close Date If updates are made to fields outside of this defined set, the Opportunity will not sync to ActiveCampaign.
