I would like to ensure that my contacts are not falling into multiple automations and campaigns and getting multiple emails in one day. My initial thought was to set up an automation that is triggered by “Was sent an email” then the automation added +1 to a field every time an email was sent. Then it clear the field at midnight. However… you apparently can’t trigger based on “was sent an email” only clicks and opens. Any advice??

I have been using the bulk_import endpoint to create and update contacts, unsubscribe them and when needed resubscribe the unsubscribed contacts. The resubscribing is where I see issues currently. Some time ago it was possible to resubscribe contact that have been unsubscribed through API, now it does not seem to be possible. Contact fields get updated and updated is successful but contact is still unsubscribed. Has anything changed about the way bulk_import endpoint handles subscribing? I there any way to bulk resubscribe contacts that have been unsubscribed through API?
We made our own unsubscribe page before the bot prevention 2-click system was in place. But there is what I feel a bug in the system. Even though we use our own system for tracking unsubscribes with our own page Active Campaign still marks contacts as unsubscribe as soon as a user clicks a link to view the unsubscribe page. If the user changes his mind and doesn’t actually go through with unsubscribe AC still has marked the Contact as unsubscribed. I can’t imagine that the system is supposed to work like that? Why would there than be any point in having a custom unsubscribe page?
Is there a way to either change the language or the default text on preference centers? Email identifier and List subscriptions are mandatory content on a preference center, but I can’t find any way to change the language. How do I change it from English to Danish?
Is there a way to go back to the previous version of the automation canvas? This new one is awful. You could clearly see how many were in the “que” after if/else breakoffs but now it just blends in and you have to really look to see how many are in it. With long automations and multiple forks, it’s horrible.
With ActiveCampaign, you can use sentiment analysis to determine if an incoming deal email from a customer is positive, negative, or neutral. Sentiments can appear as positive (happy face), negative (sad face), neutral (neutral face), or mixed (surprise face). Here’s how to turn it on and off: How to turn on sentiment analysis To turn sentiment analysis on for a connected email account: Click Deals on the left menu. Click the “Connected Emails” option. Choose the email account you want to use with sentiment analysis. Click the “Sentiment Analysis” dropdown and click the “Allow” option. When you turn on sentiment analysis, deal emails for the connected email account moving forward will have a sentiment attached to them. How to turn off sentiment analysis To turn off sentiment analysis, follow steps 1-4 above and click the “Do not allow” option instead.
Let’s go Basic… but also really important! Contacts are the heart of everything we do in ActiveCampaign. So they’re obvious, and simple, right? Wrong! I just keep on finding AC users who are missing out on high value info that’s right there on contacts, waiting to be turned it into money! So I fixed that for you, and it will only take 3 mins of your time (or even less if you put me on high speed!) New on YouTube: Use CONTACTS in ActiveCampaign – How to know your audience inside out! Why is it so hard to downgrade a subscription in Active Campaign
There’s nothing that says impersonal “personalization” like getting an email that says “Hey %FIRSTNAME%!” Or better yet, “Hi (blank),” So what happens when your personalization tags don’t populate? We recommend adding default values to the fields you’ll use most in your communications to avoid this situation. To add a default value to a field: Click Contacts on the left menu. Click Fields. Click either the Accounts, Contacts, Or Deals tab. Hover your mouse over the field to which you wish to add a default value and click the pencil icon that appears. A modal window will appear. Type the default value into the field provided and click “Save.” Turn “Hi (blank)”, into “Hi there” or “Hi friend,” etc. and ensure that your email still feels engaging and appropriate, even when personalization data is missing.
I’m experiencing an issue with the ActiveCampaign CXA component on the Contact Lightning Page in Salesforce. The “Enter into Automation” button consistently returns “No Automation templates found,” even though I’ve verified that active automations exist in ActiveCampaign. What I’ve Tried: Confirmed that API credentials are correct and successfully connected. Verified that the contact meets all ActiveCampaign sync criteria. Checked field mappings in the ActiveCampaign integration setup to ensure required fields are mapped correctly. Reviewed the Set Component Visibility filters in the Lightning App Builder—no unnecessary restrictions found. Tested multiple contacts that meet the sync criteria, but the issue persists. What’s Working: The API connection between Salesforce and ActiveCampaign is active. The ActiveCampaign CXA component loads on the Contact record. What’s Not Working: The component doesn’t pull available automation templates from ActiveCampaign. Has anyone encountered
Does your business operate in both English and Spanish speaking countries? If so, you may like these tips! 💡 Here are 3 methods that have worked for some of our other customers to create messages personalized based on language. Start by creating a custom field called language (dropdown) and base personalizations on that custom field. Method 1: Conditional content based on that custom field. From the Email Designer, hover over the container, structure, or section you wish to make conditional. Then hover over the three dots to the left of the block. Click the Conditional Content icon that appears. A modal window will appear containing the segment builder. Use the segment builder to create the conditions you want to set. or Optional: Click “Add condition” to add additional conditions. Click “Save” when complete. When the campaign is sent, the content you made conditional will hide or display based on the rules you set. Method 2: Create an automation with an if/else
We have 2 scores : one for demographic, one for engagement. I would like to sum these 2 scores in another “master” score. i’ve find a workaround in my different automations : when adding a score to engagement, i add the same score to the master score. (for instance for an email opened +2 points both for “engagement score” and “master score” But for demographic it is more complicated since it’s likely that a user submit different form with potentially different information for the same field (for instance an “employee” (5points) download an ebook, but then 6 month later he download another one but as a “manager” (20 points) → i need the recalculate all his latest data into the demographic score (but then i cant use my workaround since i don’t want to sum 5+20 points, but only 20 points in my demographic score) Anyone can help me? thanks
Trying to programmatically get the count of new contacts per month, which is currently in the contact trend report? How can we get the same using API if that’s possible? Thank you.

We would like to be able to specify how WooCommerce fields are mapped to contact records - specifically, to contact name. Our issue is that when people enter their billing details in WooCommerce, the name they enter is transfered to their ActiveCampaign contact. This is great most of the time, however, sometimes our customers have preferred names that differ from their billing details, and being referred to by their billing name via email can make them feel misgendered/deadnamed. We have a custom field in our WooCommerce order that allows people to pick their “Chosen” name. We map this to their order confirmation emails from WooCommerce, and we would like to do the same in ActiveCampaign. However, AC support confirmed that there is currently no way to adjust which fields ActiveCampaign reads from WooCommerce. Wondering if anyone has any ideas of how I can get around this?
Can anyone help me find out which automation on my account is consuming my Active’s processing? It’s very slow, emails take more than an hour to be sent. Context: There are about 10 contacts per minute, who receive a first greeting email, which is taking a long time to be sent.
Does anyone else experience this? Or could shed any light? We ran a campaign recently to join a waitlist with the call to action being to click a button and a tag is assigned. In the report there were a number of clicks on it, but in our follow ups process to these individuals, they didn’t recall or even click the link. Some of the email addresses were no longer valid as the contact had moved company, so no one was even receiving the email. This has been a fear of mine that clicks are not being accurately or truly reported, as we have automations in place that notify when some clicks a link a certain amount of times, and that has not been true either. I would love to understand why this is the case. From a marketing perspective, I am passing leads to sales that are not actually leads. Why would a click be trigger if the person hasn’t actually clicked?
HI! Do you know if in the future there will be a 2 way SMS text messages feature in ActiveCampaign? Would be great to have the possibility to send a 1:1 SMS to a contact from within ActiveCAmpaign and continue the conversation there.
I have 2 fields in my Contacts record; Industry (eg. Construction, Mining, etc.) & Lead Type (eg. government, system integrator, consultant, etc.) I need to send an customized email to a Contact based on their Industry and Lead Type combined. Example; a Contact is from the Construction (Industry) as well as a Government (Lead Type) which is different from a Contact from the Construction (Industry) as well as a Consultant (Lead Type) . How do I set up my Automation to check this? Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone! 👋 How can I force the emails to show up in only light mode design? I set the background color to white, but the MacOS Mail application still reverts the colors. The emails I get from big brands are showing with white background without any modifications. Thank you, Marton
How do you go about installing the API SDK for nodejs using NPX, and know what the key should be (the current key on the dev docs is out of date), and how do you configure it to make it for a particular instance of Active Campaign? I am building an internal use application that will only communicate with our own application and it isn’t currently connecting to the right base URL. I think I have the SDK installed correctly as I have gotten help from the dev staff for the right npx command. BUT the Base URL is not correct.
Hi Community, I want to share a critical issue we’ve encountered with the Calendly-ActiveCampaign integration that’s significantly impacting our workflows. I’d love to hear if others have faced similar problems or found solutions. Here’s the situation: The Issue The integration uses personal, user-specific Calendly accounts connected to ActiveCampaign. These connections can only be re-established manually by the respective users. Unfortunately, we discovered that: Automations relying on Calendly triggers stop working entirely if even one user’s connection breaks. This happens regardless of how many other connections are still functional. There’s no notification system to alert us of broken connections. We only notice the problem when workflows fail, which is far too late. Manual monitoring is required. We have to regularly check configurations to catch and fix broken connections. This defeats the purpose of automation entirely and creates operational inefficiencies. Why This Is a Pro
