SMS Checkbox Question

I want to create a form for when people download a guide and allow them to opt in to receive SMS messages. But when I test the form it makes the box required that they have to check it.

Does anyone know if there is a way around that? Then based on if they do or do not check the box we could SMS market to them. I am also not making phone number required.

Hey there, are you adding a checkbox field to your form?
It should give you options to make the field required or not - see this image

I was but it was making me need to enter the phone and consent. I had a workaround and made a new consent box that worked. Thank you!
