Salesforce Sync Issues

Hello,

New AC user, i’ve successfully linked Salesforce with AC but am having a contact sync issue. I’m attempting to perform a sync on contacts that meet a specific criteria (run on a custom field “Email Verification Status = Valid”) so I bring in only contacts that I have verified their email addresses. The sync state on these contacts never change and never sync. 've tried multiple sync options with no luck. I was able to sync a user when changing the contact sync option to “All Contacts created/updated from this point forward” and added a new user so I know the connection works. Any insight would be helpful.

Welcome to ActiveCampaign! It sounds like you’ve got the connection working properly since the “All Contacts created/updated from this point forward” option worked with a new contact.

Custom field criteria syncs can take longer to process than standard syncs. Sometimes it takes 15-30 minutes for the sync state to update, especially if you’re syncing a large number of contacts.

I would trouble shoot by:

  1. Try creating a test contact in Salesforce with the “Email Verification Status = Valid” and see if it syncs over
  2. Check your sync logs in the Salesforce integration settings - this often shows specific error messages
  3. Verify that the contacts you’re trying to sync don’t have any validation errors (missing required fields, invalid email formats, etc.)

If the custom field sync continues to give you trouble, you could create a Salesforce report or list view with your criteria, then sync based on that list/campaign membership instead.
