Restarting an automation

I had an automation with 500 email contacts, they completed a 5 email series. Now I would like to use the same automation/ contacts and restart the automation from specific date. I tried but it did not start and says no one in list. The original list was started by tag being added. Ideas of what I can do

Once contacts complete an automation, they won’t re-enter automatically even if you restart it. Here are a few solutions:

Option 1: Manually Re-add Contacts

  1. Go to your automation settings
  2. Click “Add Contacts”
  3. Filter by the original tag or create a segment of the 500 contacts
  4. Manually add them back to the automation

Option 2: Remove & Re-add the Tag

  1. Remove the original trigger tag from all 500 contacts
  2. Wait a few minutes
  3. Re-add the tag - this should trigger the automation again

You also can segment and use the bulk add feature if neither of those options work for you!
