[Product Feedback] Pause a contact in automation

Hello!

I sell a coaching program, and all my customers are automatically added to an autoresponder so the get emails as they advance in the program.

However, an important part of my customers pay but want to start the program a few days later, or need to do a pause of 2-3 weeks in the middle of the program.

In those cause, having the option to PAUSE these contacts in the autoresponder would be amazing. However, right now you can only End the automation and the re-add them from the beginning.

Could a PAUSE option could be added in automations?

Hi Angel!

We don’t currently have the function to pause, but I shared your feedback with our product team!
In the meantime I would try a Tag-Based Pause System Create a “pause” tag (like “Program-Paused”) and use conditional logic in your automation:

  • Add a “Wait until conditions are met” step after each email
  • Set it to wait until the contact does NOT have the “Program-Paused” tag
  • When someone needs to pause, just add the tag
  • When they’re ready to resume, remove the tag and they’ll continue from where they left off
