Migrating automations using the new editor

We’ve built some complicated automations using what is now considered the “classic” editor. Apparently, there is no automated migration solution for using the newer email designer with the existing emails. As far as I can tell, I have to manually reproduce each email, possibly even in a new automation. (Why bother? Because the newer designer will make it easier to modify and customize my emails.)
Can anyone suggest the safest way to reproduce a multi-step automation in which every email is recreated using the newer email designer?

Hey there - we’ve done this kind of migration for a couple of our clients. You shouldn’t need to re-build the automations, but yes unfortunately you will need to completely reproduce each email in the new editor.

@jacobmonash Appreciate the note. Let me confirm… If I add a “Send an email” action to an existing automation, I can choose to “start from an existing email”. If the selected source email was built using the classic editor, you’re telling me the new email will be limited to the classic editor as well? If so, the only way to use the new email editor in an automation is to use the “create a new email” option for the “Send an email” action?

Yes that’s correct

Ok! There’s no shortcut. Thank you for the info.
