How do I create a task?

Create a task for your contact

  1. Click Contacts on the left menu.
  2. Open the “Add a Task” modal in one of the following ways:
  • From the Contacts Overview, click the dropdown to the right of the contact, then click “Add a Task”
  • Click into the Contact Record. Then click the Action button dropdown at the top right and click “Add a task”
  • Click into the Contact Record. Scroll down to the “Tasks” Section, then click “Add a task”
  1. When the modal opens, complete the following fields:
    • Title
    • Task Type
    • Assigned to. By default, tasks will be assigned to the logged-in user. However, the task can be assigned to other users using the dropdown
    • Due date
    • Due time
  1. Optional: Click “Show more options” to send a reminder(s) or trigger an automation.
  2. Optional: Type a short description of the task. Providing a description can give your teammates more context regarding the task.
  3. Click the “Save Task” button.

The task will be saved and listed in the Tasks section in the contact record.

Create a task for your deal

  1. Click Deals on the left menu and open the deal for which you want to create a task.
  2. The Deal Details page will open. Open the “Add a Task” modal with one of the following methods:
  • Click the Action button dropdown at the top right, then click “Add a Task”
  • Click “Add a Task” in the Tasks widget.
  1. A modal will appear. Complete the following fields:
    • Title
    • Task Type
    • Assigned to. Note that deal tasks can be assigned to an account user who has permission to view the pipeline. If you do not assign the task, we will do it for you automatically
    • Due Date
    • Due Time
  1. Optional: Click “Show more options” to send a reminder(s) or trigger an automation.
  2. Optional: Type a short description of the task. Providing a description can give your teammates more context regarding the task.
  3. Click the “Add Task” button.

The task will be saved and will be listed on the details page for your deal.
