Recently, we have observed a significant increase in automatic bot unsubscribes. These are often caused by antivirus scans and link scanners that automatically click on links to check for malicious behavior. Unfortunately, this can lead to false unsubscribes when the scanners follow unsubscribe links found in emails. To better detect and eliminate such bot activities, we have implemented a new human verification challenge to prevent automatic bot clicks on the unsubscribe button in emails.
