Sorting order for contact and account tab

I would love to see the ability to change the order of the default fields in contact and account.
I find it strange that as a user we can’t change the order of those fields in the way it works for the user. Also custom fields cab aonly be added below the standard fileds? Why? Please make this flexible and let the user decide where they need the fields in to work with.
