Triggering emails based on time BETWEEN visits to the website

Hi there,
My product’s subscribers have the availability to opt into learning pace reminder emails. This is the question they are presented with: How often do you want to work on your professional development? And the answer options: Daily (weekdays), Weekly, Monthly, or Whenever I can. We are tracking contacts’ “last visit” to the website, and we want to trigger emails based on the amount of time that has lapsed between visits. For example, if I sign up to receive reminder emails based on the “Weekly” preference, if my contact record has NOT visited the site in 7 days, I want to trigger a reminder email to that contact. I see an option to trigger emails based on when a contact DOES visit a site, but I am not seeing an option for when they DO NOT visit a site within a period of time. Has anyone successfully set this up?

    Hi Alisha, I haven’t done it myself, but I believe you could use a “Date based” trigger to achieve this.

    Here’s a screenshot - the idea being that the automation will trigger when: current date = last visit date + 7
