Sending email causes loads time issues on my site

When we send an email blast from AC< our site goes down or has slow load times for at least 5 minutes. There are no users clicking in droves. We cannot figure out why this is happening. Any thoughts?

    Hi Howard. Welcome to the community. That is strange. The only thing that I can think of is automatic link clicks to your site causing something on your site to use resources. You could check yourself or ask your hosting provider to look at the performance logs to identify what is consuming resources at the time you send your emails. Is your site a WordPress site? Cheers.
