How to send an email multiple times?

What would be the use case for repeating the same email?

Hi Mika, the client would like the same email to be repeated as a reminder leading up to its open days. E.g. two weeks before, one week before and then lastly a few days before the event with a slight modification ‘last chance’ or ‘ last days’…

In automation, I can only work with triggers, e.g. people who have opened the mail, clicked on a link. Can I use a trigger there or does one exist that activates when the first batch of mails have been sent.

You could set up an automation and just duplicate the email after the set dates repeatedly like this:

For instance, in this example, the email would be sent on the 5th, then 10 days later on the 15th, then a week later on the 23rd. The email is duplicated so it’s the same content, but using the “Start from an existing email” and selecting that first email.

I was thinking along those lines myself.

Maybe a silly question but how do I get the first mail to be sent, do I do that by putting the original campaign in schedule on a specific date, e.g. the 16th ? Or using a trigger like ‘wait until conditions are met’ ?

Also, every time I select the mail it makes a copy of this. In your example, this doesn’t seem to happen to me the first time, how come ?

And how or where do I choose my contacts/audience, does the automation take them over from the original mailing ?

This will help you decide how you want emails to begin.

The email will be a copy/duplicate. You can rename them however you’d like.

Do you have your contacts in a list? Or is it a segmented audience from a list with a certain tag? etc.
