Question

How can I turn off or bypass the majority of the AI tools?

My team exclusively uses our own HTML or custom templates. We only start from scratch. We’ve also found (and reported) many of the AI-driven insights to be unnecessarily inflammatory and alarmist. Alerts such as “critical changes needed” when the insight isn’t even truthful, are also slowing us down from completing our work.

The AI tools are so prominent and dominant that it’s actually a hinderance to getting our work done now. Any way to opt out, rearrange, or disable the things we don’t use?

Hi healthcasts! Ryan with the ActiveCampaign Team here 👋

Thanks for providing your honest feedback with regards to your experience with AI in the platform. There are some customizations that you’re able to make to modify the way that you interface with Active Intelligence that I’d be happy to share - though I should note that there is not a way to completely disable these features altogether as they are deeply intertwined with all key areas of the platform.

The first change that you’re able to make would be to modify the homepage. You can find this setting by clicking the settings icon in the upper right-hand corner of the home page in your account. Under the “Account” section of the settings page, you’ll see an option under the language selector for “New homepage” toggle. With this turned off your home page will return to the classic view rather than Active Intelligence.

Something else that you can also do would be to enter custom instructions for your account’s Active Intelligence. This would allow you to “train” the AI so that when interactions do occur, they are more in line with the type of outputs that you would find valuable. You can learn more about custom instructions here:

Last up, if you haven’t already done so, I’d strongly encourage you to share any ideas you have on ways to improve the platform on our ideas board (ideas.activecampaign.com). Not only can other customers vote for ideas you share, but our Product Team regularly checks this forum to understand what our customers would find valuable and to help identify value and efficiency gaps across the platform.

Let me know if you have any lingering questions and I’d be glad to help review!
