Force email light mode?

Hi everyone! 👋

How can I force the emails to show up
in only light mode design?
I set the background color to white, but
the MacOS Mail application still reverts the colors.
The emails I get from big brands are showing with white
background without any modifications.

First, please find our dedicated resource on dark/light mode here: Optimize your campaign for Dark Mode.

Each email client renders your email differently. Unfortunately, this is not something that ActiveCampaign can control.

If you would like your email to ignore the recipient’s MacOS dark mode preferences, you will likely need to add custom code to your email. We are not able to provide support for custom code, but I was able to find an external resource that may help here: html - How to disable the dark mode via email template - Stack Overflow.

Dark mode is a popular setting that many people prefer, so I would recommend exercising caution if attempting to force an email to remain in light mode. If there are recipients who prefer dark mode, they may have negative reactions to an email that can only be read in light mode.
