Embed Preference Center?

Hey there! Ryan from the ActiveCampaign Team here. I thought I’d check in and share a fun use case that I have seen in case you find it helpful.

The first thing to call out would be that a Preference Center form works a bit differently than other forms types. Namely, Preference Center forms are only able to be added to a campaign (including campaigns sent from automations) so there isn’t a way to add it directly to a web page or landing page.

That said, in the example I’m thinking of, the purpose of the form was for marketing some of the different interests/verticals that their customers might have. Where often times you see Preference Centers linked at the bottom of an email near the “Unsubscribe” link, this account made the link something that was featured as a primary call to action in their email. Something along the lines of “Check out all of the programs and interests you can dive into at our business!” Clicking that link, their Preference Center form was set up roughly as:

• General Newsletter
• Careers
• Volunteering Opportunities  
• Kids and Family 
• Events

These are just a few examples of the way this was structured in this use case. Personally, I thought this was a creative way to expose multiple areas of the business that visitors to their site may not have been aware of. The lists that you expose here would vary depending on the type of business you have and/or industry you are in of course. So instead of treating the Preference Center as only being a way to manage list preferences, they used it as a marketing strategy that introduced their contacts to all of the different types of interests they catered to as a means of exposure.
