We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Early Access Program for the latest ActiveCampaign file features! This program is designed to provide exclusive access to our newest file functionalities before they’re officially released to the public.

Please note that participation in this program is by invitation only and is exclusively reserved for registered participants. We’re committed to ensuring that our participants have the opportunity to explore and provide feedback on these cutting-edge features before they’re widely available.

If you haven’t received an invitation, we kindly ask that you refrain from accessing this early access channel at this time. This forum topic is closed to select ActiveCampaign users and create for the purpose of asking questions about the features and providing real time feedback.

        I’m excited to join the testing for this feature.

        While this is a step forward, I do want to give my initial feedback that based on my read of the feature description it is not a true file attachment as many folks requested, but rather an embedded link. There may be advantages to this, e.g. it is more streamlined than manually embedding a link to a file on a 3rd party cloud service (Dropbox, GDrive, etc.) and it will enable tracking of clicks and triggering of automations off that.

        However, from the recipient side it may not be as obvious that there is an attachment — all they will see is text with a link in it.

        Also, when the recipient clicks the link I assume it will just open the file in a browser window or download it to their hard drive’s downloads folder. But it will not (depending on their own OS helper app configuration) open it in their corresponding client app for the filetype, and will force them to take the extra step of doing so.

        Still, I do plan to look for opportunities to use the feature and will give more feedback once I do.

          Hello. Are we able to add attachments to emails as part of an automation? I am not seeing that capability on my end.

          Hello! Currently, this functionality is tied to direct 1:1 emails coming from the Contact, Account, or Deal record. It is firmly on our radar to extend this functionality to automated 1:1 emails; however, this capability is not available today.

            We use SignNow for our document signing platform. Wondering if there might potentially be an “Add File” action in Zapier? The Zap would be triggered with a completed signed document from SignNow (which already exists) then the AC action would be to add the signed file to the contact record and/or ideally the deal record.

            It seems to work fine. I though we were already able to attach a file. Maybe I am thinking about saving a file to a Deal.

              That’s correct. This is a new set of files features specific to direct 1:1 email.

              Thank you for sharing your feedback and idea! That sounds like it would be a valuable addition to your team’s workflow; however, that is outside of the scope of our Early Access functionality.

              If you can, it would be great if you would like to submit this as an official Idea for future consideration. This would allow other users to review and upvote this integration to provide additional feedback as well.
