I have created an automation where I selected the contact list I uploaded and designed the email template. All the necessary steps appear to be completed; however, the automation is not sending out emails as expected.

Could you please assist me in identifying what might be causing this issue and guide me on how to resolve it?

Are they actually subscribed to an email list? Most common miss if running through an automation. If on a list make sure you didn’t import to a double opt-in list.

Thank you for the quick response!

I checked the contacts and they do appear to be subscribed and marked as 'Active' on the list. The list also does not have double opt-in enabled, so I don't believe that is the issue.

Could you please help me dig deeper into why the automation is still not sending emails? Is there anything else I should check — such as the automation trigger settings, contact conditions, or the start trigger configuration?

Making sure I understand – have the contacts gone through the automation, including the email step, and skipped over the email?

one way to diagnoses this better is to look at one of these contacts, on their contact record, go down to automations, find the automation and click on it and it should show you the percent completion – click that and you should get a view of how that individual contact Flowed through the automation. If the contact skipped over the email, you can usually hover over the step on the left side and see information about why it skipped.

If I assumed wrong and the contact have never gone into the automation, you need to get them in with whatever trigger at The top makes sense, like a tag as an example. You can also directly import contacts into any step of an automation – I’d start at the first step underneath the trigger, click the little people button above the step, and it basically allows you to do a search or choose a segment of who you want to add to the automation.
