Foolproof Tips for Adding Images to Your ActiveCampaign Email Campaigns
Hello, ActiveCampaign enthusiasts! Today, we’re diving into best practices for incorporating images into your email campaigns effectively. Here’s how to enhance your emails visually without compromising on performance:
- Optimal Image Width: Keep your images between 400 and 650 pixels wide to ensure they display correctly on mobile devices and in Outlook, which does not scale down larger images.
- Break Up Tall Images: If an image exceeds 600 pixels in height, consider splitting it into shorter segments. This prevents quality loss and helps email clients load the images faster.
- Use Precise Image Sizes: Always insert images at the size you intend to display them. Scaling images up can make them grainy, while scaling down large images can lead to unnecessary file size, slowing down email loading.
- Avoid Inline Images in Text Blocks: Use image blocks instead to prevent issues with clickable links and text wrapping, especially in some versions of Outlook and on mobile devices.
- Minimize Text in Images: Text within images may not be visible if images are blocked by the recipient’s email client. Always use actual text for critical information to ensure it’s accessible.
- Utilize Alt Text: Add alternative text to your images to describe them when they’re blocked or cannot be displayed. This improves accessibility and email effectiveness.
- Manage Images Efficiently: Use the content manager to organize and upload your images, making them easy to insert into any campaign or email.
- Linking and Padding: Customize images with links, alt text, and padding directly in the email designer for a seamless user experience.
- Inserting into Text Blocks: While you can add images to text blocks, be aware of placement limitations—images in text blocks can only align at the top left or right.
