+1. It’s very important add task to contact without creating a deal via automation.
+1 just discovered this is missing. If there is the functionality to add manual tasks to contact why isn’t it an option in automations? Not all contacts need deals and there could be many tasks related to a contact record in the processing of identifying a deal or opportunity.
I also like to add up our voice. We also really need this functionality. Totally not understandable that this “easy” thing is disregarded since three and a half years. 
Is there any “official” way to bring in feature requests to the development team?

I found a way to do it through AC API. Tried Zapier first, but that’s too expensive. Anyone needs a solution, let me know. We can probably host it for you for a small fee.

I’m largely on the sales side of things and I hate AC’s “Contact” dashboard so I’m always looking to see what other people do to be efficient. I basically built a mini pipeline that’s a lot like a bouncer at a bar: the cover charge to get tagged or enter a list/deal/pipeline is I like to personally call/text first. I leave them there for about a week at most before transferring them to a more traditional sales follow-up campaign. Let me know if you have any suggestions for that workaround!
