US too. It’s got to be easy to apply. What’s confusing is that this allows MORE functionality, not less. Can anyone from AC explain why we’re being force dot use the deals fuction when not needed?
I know. It’s a higher plan feature. But please tell me it’s not just about that…I already bought it anyway.
+1. New customer here and on day one we are already facing a hurdle. I’m very surprised this isn’t available. It seems like a no brainer that this function would exist.
PLEASE add this feature. We need to reach out to our evergreen clients on an ongoing basis without having an associated deal. How is this now a function?! Come on now!
Yet another basic feature that is missing. Basic things like adding a task to a contact using automation, not to mention adding a CC address to an email, makes it hard to not look at other options that are out there.
It was raised in August 2018, so it has been missing for a while. I cannot understand how it has not been acted on since then, given it is a basic function that you think would be needed. How else can I assign a new enquiry to someone?!
+1 just discovered this is missing. If there is the functionality to add manual tasks to contact why isn’t it an option in automations? Not all contacts need deals and there could be many tasks related to a contact record in the processing of identifying a deal or opportunity.
I also like to add up our voice. We also really need this functionality. Totally not understandable that this “easy” thing is disregarded since three and a half years.
Is there any “official” way to bring in feature requests to the development team?

I found a way to do it through AC API. Tried Zapier first, but that’s too expensive. Anyone needs a solution, let me know. We can probably host it for you for a small fee.
@dtu96303 It’s WILD that this isn’t a basic feature. I know you said you didn’t want to put anything into the CRM and I’m sure we us AC a little differently, but it sounds like we’re looking for a workaround that fits with how we use the platform. I’m largely on the sales side of things and I hate AC’s “Contact” dashboard so I’m always looking to see what other people do to be efficient. I basically built a mini pipeline that’s a lot like a bouncer at a bar: the cover charge to get tagged or enter a list/deal/pipeline is I like to personally call/text first. I leave them there for about a week at most before transferring them to a more traditional sales follow-up campaign. Let me know if you have any suggestions for that workaround!
