WPLM | Same footer translated with WPLM but different ID for the newsletter form

Hi everyone,

First, I would like to wish you HAPPY MONDAY!

Now let’s go straight to the point. I have a site (boutiqueaove.com) which has 4 languages nowadays, and I want to create 4 different lists depending on the language to send the newsletter.

I am currently using Elementor. I have just had an issue. The main language is Spanish, and when I’ve tried to modify the English version with the new form ID, the footer has just disappeared.

I am thinking that I could create specific footers for each language and then show them only in the pages in that language… but that’s a lot of work and must be a shorter way to avoid this error.

Thanks for any tip!

Cheers,
Pablo

Hi Pablo! I’ve routed this question to our team. A Developer from AC will get back to you shortly

Hello Pablo!

Thank you for your patience! I am not completely familiar with WPML, but after doing some research it sounds like this issue is being caused by some sort of interaction between WPML and Elementor. I found some documentation for using WPML with Elementor Templates which may help you troubleshoot this. If you are still running into issues I would recommend checking in with WPML’s support forums as it looks like some other WPML and Elementor users have run into similar situations over there.

It seems that the workaround you described, while being a bit of extra work manually creating a footer for each language, may be an effective way to accomplish this as well.

Thanks,
-Matt
