Webinar REMINDER - How to do it

Hi everyone!

I would like to build an automation to remind contacts for the webinar date.
I searched online and there is a recipe but it only works with fixed date (choosen from a calender) but I need it to be dynamic.
The webinar’s date is in the contact’s DATE custom field (it can be different)
So I would like to send a 1 day, 10 hour and 1 hour reminder bases on this dynamic DATE field.

Thanks for any help

@kelemenmarton95 Thanks for reaching out! If you’re not already, I’d recommend storing the webinar date in a date-based field so you can automate in relation to it. I recorded a short video to show you how these date-based dynamic options work, and set up a 1 day reminder that is dynamic to contact’s unique date: Zight Recording 2024-11-15 ...

Unfortunately, we don’t have these same dynamic capability around ‘current’ time…this means we might want to find a workaround you can use to ensure folks receive communications at the proper time. Does the webinar time always change dynamically, or is there any standardization to the times? You might want to consider tracking the time in a number based field so you can use conditions like Time is greater than 12 but less than 15 to denote it is between 12 PM and 3 PM, for example.

Hey, to cover the day before update you can use Conditional Wait Steps. Activecampaign allows you to select ‘current date plus or minus x days’

You can also use a pretty hacky way to do the hourly updates with further wait steps.

Image uploading isn’t working for me here, but feel free to dm me if u want me to explain in more detail.
