Update prospects via CSV question

Hi,

If I import a csv of prospects that are already in the base and in the list, I’m just updating fields, will that use up credit for number of prospects I have on my plan?

We are very close to the max prospect limit and I’m afraid my import will fail if AC considers these as new prospects. I will of course map the email…

We only count active contacts towards your Contact Limit. Active contacts are defined as subscribed to at least one list.

When importing a CSV of existing contacts, if you check the “Update Existing Contacts” checkbox, you are just updating the fields with the value within the CSV. However, if you also check one of the lists during the import you will be subscribing those existing contacts to the list, if they are not already on one, they could be a new Active contact. As long as you do not check a list, you will be fine. :slight_smile:
