Update Custom Contact Field

I need to update a custom contact field with data from a personalisation field rather than a fixed data choice, is this possible?

The personalisation needs to be the logged in user (i.e. the person updating or adding the contact) but I cannot find the code for a logged on user, I tried %USER% but this is not recognised, how can I achieve this?

I’m afraid this is not possible. Personalization tags really only work in emails, not in automations to create tags dynamically for example.
