Unsubscribe a contact with email address

Hi.
I am trying to unsubscribe a contact using the below API (email address is contact identifier):

I am using the below configurations:

The listID is 1 and I want to unsubscribe the customer from this list (set status to 2)

But this changes nothing. I also tried to change the first_name. It works but the status does not change.

Could you help me with this?
