Typeform integration without email field

Hi!

I would like to use Typeform to add tags to my contacts on Activecampaign. To this end, I use the Activecampaign interface.

The thing is, Activecampaign wants an email field.

But I’d like to send forms to people who have already subscribed to my list. Therefore, I fear that adding an email field would complicate things further. People might not understand why I ask them something I already know and they might put a different email address.

Is there a way to bypass that, maybe through Typeform settings?

Thanks!

Hi there, Amy from ActiveCampaign’s Customer Experience Team. We’re just refreshing our forum page and I wanted to add some help here for anyone who comes across this page/question/post.

There are a couple of ways you could approach this:

Hidden Field: You can add a hidden field to your Typeform that automatically populates with the email address of the contact who is filling out the form. This way, the email field is still there for ActiveCampaign’s requirements, but it’s hidden from the user, so they won’t be prompted to fill it out. This ensures that the correct email address is passed to ActiveCampaign without confusing your subscribers.
URL Parameters: Another option is to pass the email address as a URL parameter when you direct subscribers to the Typeform. For example, you could generate a unique URL for each subscriber that includes their email address as a parameter. This way, the email address is pre-filled in the form, and the subscriber doesn’t have to input it again.
