Hello,
I did not see this on another post so wanted to ask if anyone knows if there is a way through the API or through a 3rd party tool to tracking site data/page views of a return visitor based upon ip address.
So for example, customer comes to site year ago, joins email list through activecampaign form, email and ip address gets passed to activecampaign. Today they come back to the site on their own (not through an activecampaign email I sent), they do not login to my site using email address, the only thing we can see is their ip address on this day. Is there a way to check with activecampaign if that ip address exists among my contacts and if so start tracking page views.
This would of course entail “checking” every single visitor ip address against the ip addresses of my current activecampaign contacts, so might use a lot of server resources, and of course people’s ip addresses can change over time, but curious if anyone has heard of a way to do this?
