Start automation from one specific value inside of custom field with a lot of values

Hey guys.

I have a custom field with the possibility of inputting more than one value in the same field.
For example = My custom field (service) is a checkbox that accepts more than one value selection.
Service: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3.

I have a automation and the trigger is: Start when the custom field Service change to Option 1(for example). If the first option that a marked is Option 1, the automation works, but if I have 2 values in the field Service, even if the field has the option 1 between the values, my automation doesn’t work.

Someone here already used this kind of a trigger for automation? Is this a bug of the system?
Ideas?

Hi there, Amy from ActiveCampaign’s Customer Experience Team. We’re just refreshing our forum page and I wanted to add some help here for anyone who comes across this page/question/post.

If you’d set up your automation’s trigger with just ‘custom field changes to option 1’, then the trigger will look for contacts who JUST have option 1, not option 1 AND possibly option 2 or 3 etc. You would therefore need to adjust your start trigger and include if/else conditions to sort your contacts.
