As probably everybody else I have a whole list of custom fields. In the page /settings/fields/contacts neatly sorted into groups, and every Field Name and Personalisation Tag has a name that is designed for grouping, easy finding and easy sorting.
Now, working in Integrations (like Calendly) or with Wordpress plugins (like GravityForms) there is no sorting whatsoever. Perhaps it sorts on the record number (meaning creation sequence) of the fields.
I aks you to have sorting available of Custom Fields, for Field Name and/or Personalisation Tag

I agree with you, having the choice to sort the Custom Fields alphabetically is something that would be very helpful.
However, I suspect that, as you pointed out, the integrations can only grab the fields in the order they were created. But, the ActiveCampaign team may know a way to enforce alphabetical sorting in the API.
Have you considered posting this as an idea? That is probably the best place to post suggestions like this.
