Sort deals by custom field (date) possible?

Hi there,

I work in a business where deals have a due date that the customer can choose.
The due date goes into a custom field. Easy.

But since I need to be able to see what deal to work on next, I need to be able to sort deals by said custom field.

So far Support told me to use tasks for that purpose. (since deals are sorted by attached tasks due date)

This isnt working since I cant use my custom date field as for when a created task is due.

Any advice?

You could change your pipeline to reflect a few “buckets” of due dates, e.g. one stage for deals within 1 month and another for 1+ months. Then trigger an automation every time a deal is created and place the deal in the correct stage based on an if/then split (see pic attached).
