Is there anyway to search contacts by a phone number using the API?
If not, are there any workarounds recommended for locating a contact using a phone number?

There is currently no way to search for a contact by phone number.

Does anyone know if this feature is on the roadmap? It seems like it should be a priority.
As far as I can tell, the only way to find a contact with a phone number is to pull down sets of contacts until you find the phone number you want. Or, if there could be multiple contacts with the same phone number, you need to pull down ALL the contacts every single time you need to find them.
