Phone Number Prefix Management

Hello to everyone, this is my first post in this form.

My activity is strongly oriented on my customer’s phone numbers, for SMS sending and WhatsAbb with webhooks.

I observ when I make lead generation from external platforms (fb lead gen, typeform, exc.) Active Campaign takes the client’s number with international prefix (Italy is +39).

When I use the AC module for my website, I don’t wont to ask to my users typing the international prefix (I fear they get in confusion). But inside Active Campaign I have the format without +39.

And it’s a problem for future sendings.

How can I solve? How can I have the same format?

Thank you

Hi @riccardogirardi, welcome to our community forum! I just checked with the team, and they confirmed that unfortunately, the phone number field is a text field and we can’t force specific formats with only digits. We also cannot pre-add the country code. I would recommend requesting this feature so that our Product teams can review it and prioritize it for future releases.

Thats not good news with many of my contacts being overseas ACMolly this pains me as well. It also seems like such a simple fix with the programers.

Hi.

It doesnt make much of the difference for two reasons. One, the number stored as Test can still be used as Number. Two, the number stored must be verified cia Double Opt-in, if there is a Funcationlity to do that.

The word is moving on with GDPR, and I believe all contacts must be Double Opti-In
