Outbound Call Tracking

We generate leads from social media using AC Forms. The leads need to be called by our call setters. It is easy enough to create tasks for deals in the pipeline but AC does not seem to have any tools to track call outcomes (talked to, voicemail, bad number, etc.). Am I missing something?

AC doesnt have anything native for this. Will need an integration. Have you checked this out?: Integrate CallRail with ActiveCampaign

Thanks for letting me know. I am beginning to wonder if AC is the right solution for us. We have had to hammer in so many other solutions. In the meantime, I will reread the CallRail article and see if I can make peace with that platform. Thanks.

Just re-reading your original post. Have you tried using activecampaigns custom ‘task outcomes’ ? if all you want is to have the outcomes of calls recorded then that might be a solution

Task outcomes are great for automated purposes, but for logging tasks completed with outcomes I have found them to be difficult to manage in contact records hidden behind ‘view completed’. The other issue is any notes added into the task under the outcome are only available to read for the first 5-6 words. Completed tasks can’t be clicked on to view details once checked off.

With that being said, @davidscottpeters2 for call tracking I would recommend setting up a custom object (Settings → Manage Data → Create Custom Object) and associate the object with the Contact record since these leads are only at the lead stage. Then you have the power to create any field types relevant to the call outcomes your looking to track.
