I’m very new to Active Campaign. I want to connect manychat but the way i understand it I have to pay for a “bridge” such as Zapier to connect the 2. However if I go in manychat and click on integrations it says I am connected to Active Campaign. I think Chat GPT has confused me beyond repair!

Good news - you don’t necessarily need Zapier! ManyChat does have a native integration with ActiveCampaign, which is likely what you’re seeing when it shows you’re “connected.”

ManyChat’s Native Integration:

  • ManyChat offers a direct integration with ActiveCampaign (no bridge needed)
  • This allows you to add contacts from ManyChat to ActiveCampaign
  • You can trigger automations based on ManyChat interactions
  • Basic data syncing happens without additional tools

When You Might Still Need Zapier:

  • If you need more complex workflows beyond what the native integration offers
  • For bi-directional syncing or advanced field mapping
  • Specific trigger/action combinations not supported natively

How to Set Up the Native Connection:

  1. In ManyChat:
  • Go to Settings > Integrations
  • Find ActiveCampaign in the list
  • Click “Connect” and enter your ActiveCampaign API credentials
  1. Get Your ActiveCampaign API Info:
  • In ActiveCampaign: Settings > Developer
  • Copy your API URL and API Key
  • Paste these into ManyChat’s connection form
  1. Configure What Syncs:
  • Decide which ManyChat subscribers should be added to ActiveCampaign
  • Map fields between the two platforms
  • Set up any tags or lists for organization

I would suggest starting simple:

  • Test the native ManyChat integration first
  • See if it handles your use cases
  • Only add Zapier later if you discover you need functionality the native integration doesn’t provide

Thank you ! Is it possible to provide me a link in how to set up an Active Campaign automation in step by step details? AI isn’t exactly accurate and in testing the active campaign/manychat it didn’t work so I’m not doing something correctly in the process.
