Integrating with Paypal and date-based automations

Hi Guys, I recently on-boarded our small skate company with AC - congrats me aye

Would one of you guys be so kind to help me?

Background, we sell life skills classes for kids. The classes are on going - We have 8 classes, every week, which are conducted the same time and place each week. Students choose a package of 4 or 24 weeks and attend ONE class, the same class and time - every week.

  1. Qe are using a WooCommerce on WP however would like to stream line the process / get rid of WC! How do I integrate AC with the established PayPal button, ok, that’s the easy one.

  2. Can we configure a Dynamic Start Date for the packages we sell so that all automations run from the date of registration or a date selected by the customer?

Appreciate any solution, suggestions or direction on this

TY

You can integrate with PayPal via Zapier. You could use the PayPal button to create a new contact, or send an event to ActiveCampaign, or update an existing contact.

Yes definitely. Use a custom field with a date type, and then you can trigger automations any number of days before or after that contact’s custom date type. You can set that date a number of ways, programmatically via javascript, or using the update contact → current day inside an automation. You could also update your custom fields via Zapier.

Once the custom date field is set you can trigger automations based on an absolute date (once) or a yearly date (like on a birthday).

Hey! Customer Experience team here to update this post. We do have a PayPal native integration now and it can be found under the button Apps in your account.

Use the ActiveCampaign PayPal integration
