Does anyone else experience this? Or could shed any light?
We ran a campaign recently to join a waitlist with the call to action being to click a button and a tag is assigned.
In the report there were a number of clicks on it, but in our follow ups process to these individuals, they didn’t recall or even click the link.
Some of the email addresses were no longer valid as the contact had moved company, so no one was even receiving the email.
This has been a fear of mine that clicks are not being accurately or truly reported, as we have automations in place that notify when some clicks a link a certain amount of times, and that has not been true either.
I would love to understand why this is the case.
From a marketing perspective, I am passing leads to sales that are not actually leads.
Why would a click be trigger if the person hasn’t actually clicked?
