Import missing Job Title field by accident

Hi,

I’ve imported my first list. I forgot to map my PositionTitle field to Job Title. I re-imported several times, making sure to map that field properly. I’ve checked the box to update existing contacts. However, the Job Title field never imports.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi @moore13817 hmm I think this is because the Job Title field is a built-in field that its linked to “Accounts”. When I look in my ActiveCampaign, a contact needs to be assigned to an Account in order for their Job Title field to show up in their contact record.

If you don’t want to work with the Accounts feature, you could simple create a new custom contact field called something like “Job Role”.

Job Title (the system field) is a weirdo data point that sits between a Contact and an Account.

If your Contacts do not have an Account assigned then the Job Title value will not be populated.

Best move is to create a custom contect field to use instead of the system data point.
