I can't edit actual emails in Automation(active or inactive) after first activation

Hello!!!
I activated the automation and later wanted to modify the content of an email. I click on email design and nothing happens. I disabled automation and the same thing happens. Please help me!

Can you DM me with your activehosted url so our team can look into this? You should be able to modify the content in an automation so we’ll have to look into your account specifically to see why this isn’t working for you.

Thank you for your patience while we investigated this. Without giving specifics in this public thread, we have identified that this issue is being caused by a non-verified domain being set as the from-address in the automation email. Please verify/authenticate the domain that you wish to send from, and that should resolve the issue moving forward. Instructions can be found here: https://help.activecampaign.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015584680-Set-up-your-sending-domain.

Once that is done, you will likely need to refresh the send-email block so that it “reads” the verified domain. You’ll do this by opening the email, hitting “Edit”, then “Done”, then “Save”. Now, you should be able to fully open and edit the email.

Hi there,

Devin from Automations product team. We had bug where when the domain was not validated it was actually blocking users from accessing the editor when selecting the “Edit” button. A fix for this was released yesterday so you should no longer see this issue or need to apply the workaround Phillip mentioned.
