How to trigger an email to go out 60 minutes ahead of an evergreen webinar?

I have an evergreen webinar and people can sign up to watch at several future times. I want an email to go out to them 60 minutes before it begins.

With Zapier I can store a custom field with the webinar date and time that they signed up for.

Is there a way to set up an automation to do this (trigger 60 minutes ahead of a webinar where the date/time of that webinar is dynamically stored in a custom contact field?

All assumptions…
do you have set times for the evergreen webinars to be shown? Or do you use them for more on-demand viewing? from your question, sounds more like you have a set date for the webinar to be shown, but you might have the same webinar run once a more (for example).

when a person registers for a specific webinar to be shown on a specific date, you could store two custom fields: 1) date of registration 2) date of webinar

then you’d have that date which could trigger an automation and campaign to send to those people registered.

if i understand your question correctly, i think this would work.

The short answer is you can’t do it…

Here’s why:

You would need to use zapier to send the date and time of the webinar to AC
Then you would need to compare the DATE and TIME to the current date and current time, so you can trigger the automation and email reminders beforehand.

The issue is that AC can NOT compare TIME with the current time, hence why this can’t be done.

You are better off using Ever Webinar and configuring the notifications there. You can also set up some tags so if contacts miss the webinar, leave before a certain period of time etc, you can use the tags to trigger automations / emails to be sent to them.

I hope it makes sense.

Good luck,

Luis.
