I want to send an email automation to contacts that don’t have their phone number entered.
How to select contacts that have no Phone Number entered and setting up an automation with that selection?

Setup a form that can update a contact information.
I’d make the email specifically mention that you need the phone number entered… that click redirects to the form, and then completes their profile (custom field)…after that, the automation is written to check that field is updated, maybe after x date…then whatever action you want to do after that…

Biannca here from our CX team, I wanted to update this thread for anyone that comes across this post.
You can run an advanced search for contacts who have the “Phone” field “blank” like this: https://screen.ac/geu7ZeKg.
To enter the contacts into the automation, you can either trigger them via a start trigger e.g Tag Added or bulk edit the contacts into the automation so they receive an email requesting them to update their phone.
In that email, you can add a link to an ActiveCampaign form asking them to update their phone number.
