How to move a contact from one list to another

Hi folks,

how can i move a contact from one list to another list ( without the whole subscribing / unsubscribing thing ) ?

Not sure what you mean by >>( without the whole subscribing / unsubscribing thing ) << do you without mean sub / unsub manually?

You can do it with an automation. Check out this article - http://www.activecampaign.com/help/creating-an-automated-series/

Scroll towards the bottom until you see the section about the actions in the Contacts tab, the part that looks like this:

Hello Rebar,

thanx for your answer - so it is not possible to just “move” between lists ?
So i do have to unsubscribe at list “A” and then subscribe at list “B” ?
Is there a chance to do this without other automations starting - this means is there a chance to make a difference between an “customer unsubscribe / subscribe” and a “admin unsubscribe / subscribe” ?

OK - i solved it on my own …

I added an if / then in the beginning of all my subscribing / unsubscribing - automations checking if there is a tag “admin-action” … doing their “normal” job only if there is no such tag.

Then i created a new automation setting this tag. Doing all the moving stuff. Removing the tag.
Easy - if you know how :slight_smile:
