How to continue an automation after "No" condition?

I just realized that the way I’ve set up an automation is removing contacts if they don’t click a link in the first two emails I send out - but I’m not sure how to fix that.

I made a 1-minute video showing my automation and what’s happening: http://screencast.com/t/X7Mwk2GznR

Here’s what happens to a contact when they enter the automation:

  1. They’re tagged as a prospect
  2. They’re immediately sent two emails
  3. Wait for 1 day
  4. Does the contact match X conditions (i.e. clicked a link in either of the first two emails)? If “Yes”, the contact is tagged; if “No”…

And that’s where I’m stuck. If the contact has not clicked a link in the first two emails, I want the automation to ignore that and just move on to sending them the next email in the sequence.

How do I set up the “No” condition so the entire automation doesn’t end?

Any help would be greatly appreciated - I’ve burned a lot of contacts because of this mistake.

I got the answer from live chat (which is awesome, btw):

If the contact matches “No”, add a “go to” action. That allows you to drag an arrow to the next email in the automation - so the automation continues.

You’re off to the races!

the “go to” action is a wonderful, very useful step to add to any of your automations!
