How to add MA to a mix of PPC and SEO?

Hi guys,

In an effort to understand the best way to utilize MA, I just created a fictional plumbing company - called Plumber.com

Plumber.com runs Adwords, Bing, & Facebook and also shows up on some search results organically. The leads that come from there are bottom of funnel. Calls come in, and when they see we’re far or expensive, they leave.

So as you can see, traffic generation is heavily reliant on PPC. How then, can we capture the ones who don’t call (or even the ones who do convert after all) to get started on a MA path?

Tips would be great on how we can harness this.
Thanks!

Hi @mham!

First off, have you tried using FB Lead Ads? I think this could be a really interesting opportunity for your hypothetical scenario.

This way you could vet people’s interest, services required, and budget and have it all feed seamlessly into your ActiveCampaign MA sequences. Based on their answers you could feed them through different sequences sending them content based on their information given.

Second, if PPC is driving the most significant amount of traffic, are you driving it to a dedicated landing page or that campaign, or are you just driving to your general homepage?

Thanks Ted. The PPC traffic would be going to landing pages. Not main site.
My problem with the FB Leads Ads is they don’t feed right into ActiveCampaign. If they did, game changer.

Hey @mham!

Check out these integrations - they both feed right into ActiveCampaign:

Hey @mham. We have a couple of clients in the plumbing industry & have tried a few things:

  1. Coupons. You could use a pop up for a $$ value off next purchase or zero dollar call out fee. But they must opt in to receive it.
  2. Content Marketing. You could try some content marketing like blogging or video content & have some content upgrades attached to the blogs (like a plumbing checklist or gated content). Doesn’t work as well as the coupon but can still be effective.
  3. VIP Club. Having a $99 (hypothetical) program people can join that gives them VIP Service, discounts, etc.

I find in industries like this PPC works best because people are directly searching for a solution to their problem (ie. A blocked drain). Filling the top of funnel can be difficult & coming up with creative ideas is a bit harder.

Would love to hear any ideas you might have?

Hi Evielyn,

That’s very true.
Some of the clients are very service-based and super bottom of funnel and yes paid clicks are the way to go it seems but I am really looking to crack the nut about how else to fill the top funnel.

I thought it was just me. The coupon idea works best for plumbers, but the other service based companies - man, are they hard! lol

Hope you’re enjoying your holiday!
Mark
