To add a single contact—
- Click Contacts on the left menu.
- Locate the contact you want to add to an automation, then open their profile record.
- Scroll down to the “Automations” section of the contact’s record.
- Click the “+ Add” button.
- A modal window will appear and display active automations. Select the automation you want to add the contact to, then click “Okay.”
If you ever have a group of contacts you want to add to an automation manually (say for example anyone with a specific tag) you can also bulk edit!
- Click Contacts on the left menu.
- Click into the search field and click “Advanced Search.”
- The segment builder will appear. Create conditions to find the group of contacts that you’d like to add to the automation and click “Search.”
- When the contacts appear, check to make sure it’s the right group of contacts, and then click “Edit All” to display the Bulk Editor.
- A modal window will appear. Click “Add to an Automation” and select the automation you wish to add them to from the dropdown that appears.
- Click the “Add” button.
- Click the “Apply” button to begin processing your contacts.
