How do I delete a campaign?

Take note

  • Only Admins and Users with Campaign Delete permissions can delete campaigns
  • Once a campaign is deleted:
    • It cannot be restored
    • Contact Activity Streams (located on Contact Records) will still show that a campaign was sent, but the campaign name won’t appear
    • Any reporting and metrics for the deleted campaign will be removed from your account
    • If you are deleting a Sent campaign with reply-tracking was enabled, we will still forward you the reply messages, but you will not be able to access and see the email report page for the campaign
    • The campaign will be removed from your Campaign Archive

Delete a direct campaign

In this section, you’ll learn how to delete a campaign(s) from the Campaigns page in your account.

Delete a single campaign

  1. Click Campaigns on the left menu.
  2. Locate the campaign you want to delete.
  3. Click the down caret next to the “Continue” or “View reports” button.
  4. Click the “Delete” option.

Delete multiple campaigns

  1. Click Campaigns on the left menu.
  2. Click the checkbox next to each campaign you want to delete. Note that you can only delete campaigns on your current page. You cannot select campaigns from multiple pages to delete them.
  3. Click the “Delete” button at the top of the page.
  4. A confirmation modal window will appear. Click the “OK” button.

Delete an automated campaign

In this section, you’ll learn how to delete a campaign from an automation.

If you delete a campaign from an automation, it will be removed from all other automations that also use that campaign.

Delete automated campaigns from the Automation Builder

  1. Click “Automations” on the left menu.
  2. Locate the automation containing the campaign(s) you want to delete, then click the “Edit” button.
  3. Click the “View Emails” button at the top of the Automation Builder.
  4. A modal window will appear. Click the down caret, then “Delete” for the campaign you want to delete from your account. Repeat this step for each campaign you want to delete from your account.
  5. A confirmation modal window will appear. Click the “Delete” button.

Delete automated campaigns from the Automation Messages page

  1. Click Automations > Automation Messages on the left menu.
  2. Locate the automation containing the campaign(s) you want to delete, then click the automation’s name to expand a list of campaigns.
  3. Click the “Delete” button for each campaign you want to delete from your account.
