How do I change the primary admin?

How is it possible to change the primary admin? I’d like to upgrade another user to become the primary admin as the person who was responsible is taking maternity leave. However it doesn’t seem possible to change roles

But then I have to delete the user that I want to promote to that role so that I can use their email address for the primary admin? And recreate the user who was the primary admin? And having to reassign all the Lists and Deals associated with each user? Isn’t there an easier way? Seems like twice as much work as necessary
